Spiral staircase restoration — duplex, Montréal

A badly rusted exterior staircase, perforated sections, an unstable structure. The client wanted to avoid a full replacement.

We removed the unsalvageable sections, ground and arc-welded the surface-damaged areas, then repainted with an exterior coating.

Done on site with the mobile unit, in 3 days. Roughly half the cost of a replacement.

Wrought iron staircase restoration — private residence

Deteriorated paint, sections weakened by time. The goal: restore, not replace.

Targeted arc welding on the weakened areas, old paint fully removed, anti-rust paint applied.

Full restoration in 2 days, right at the client’s home, within budget.

Emergency coffee roaster repair — food-grade environment

A smoke leak in the chimney of a roaster used daily by several Montréal coffee companies. No technical drawings available.

On-site inspection, a custom metal ring, arc-welded to seal the damaged section. Food-grade environment respected.

Leak eliminated in 2 days, no contamination, no extended downtime.

Metal railing — City of Montréal

A municipal arena, a busy main staircase, and no railing to hold on to. The City of Montréal had chosen the location, but nobody had yet drawn the piece or checked that it would hold.

In a public building, an engineer’s approval is not optional. Our team took the measurements supplied, prepared a shop drawing and had the plan approved before cutting the first tube.

The railing was then built at our LaSalle shop: TIG-welded steel for clean, strong joints, a surface evened out by orbital sanding, then powder coating to stand up to thousands of passes per season.

Four days of fabrication, then the mobile unit went on site. Anchoring into the steps, adjustment, checks: installation took one day, without closing the arena longer than needed.

It is the kind of job where a small team makes the difference: an approved plan, a piece built for heavy use, and an installation settled in one visit.
